Memories

I have a very busy couple of months coming up, with Birthdays, Engagements, my sister's wedding, selling our home, moving to our new home, renovations and travel. I have begun to pack (3 boxes so far) so you could say I am making a hole in things!

I seem to have a mass of filing and am doing a lot of organising and sorting in preparation for our pending move. I haven't quite mastered culling the closet, but Im making an effort at least. It is quite emotional, packing all your things, and wondering what will come next.

I have realised just how attached I have become to our little home. I remember drafting the floor plan on scrap paper, hunting around for taps, light fittings and paint samples, and spending weekends laying rolls of turf and planting the gardens. I think when you put so much time into something, you can't help but become attached.

So before I move on, I wanted to share a few pictures of the early days, the creation of our humble home. I hope you like.

Happy weekend!

  1. Your deck is stunning. Wow. I don't know why you are moving, but I've had some major out of state moves myself - where I knew no one, didn't know where to look to live, etc. It all worked out well, though. I wanted to say thanks for stopping by Emily A Clark's blog and commenting on my chair project! I appreciate that.
